February 2022 Update

What's going on?
We're still working on the book despite IRL demands. Mark and I have both had a lot on our plates, but we're still forging ahead one hammerfall at a time. The character section is being overhauled due to the expansion that comes with having more book space. We've added additional races, and we're providing more details on the races. This means combing through tons of material to try to reconcile the work of a dozen authors. For those who've seen the original prototypes, races got about half a page each. This has been expanded to roughly two pages per race, including artwork.
We're also including alternative character construction options for groups who want their characters to hit the battlefield ready to rumble. These will be at the discretion of the game master, of course, but should better prepare characters for their careers in the Galactic Union, whether mercenaries or not.
If you haven't joined the 4HU page on Facebook, I'd suggest doing so. It's a great way to interact with authors and fans as well as get glimpses under the hood, like the recent discussion on mercenary unit size and composition.

Thanks so much to all our backers! Writing is proceeding apace, as well as artwork, and boy does it look great! Dice and chips have been ordered, and all is moving forward on time at present. T shirts will be ordered in January, and the backerkit will be finalized and charged in mid january, so if you haven't ordered those last few things you want there's still time!
We look forward to delivering this on time in June!

Backerkit is live. What does this mean?
Those of you who supported the campaign should have received a survey leading you to Backerkit's website to finalize your order. You can get extra add-ons there, and I've added more stuff as well. These after campaign purchases benefit the campaign as well.
Also, if you didn't back this campaign on Kickstarter, didn't have the funds, or just forgot, this is your chance to still get in at the lower prices. The add-ons such as challenge coins, shirts, chips, dice, etc, may not be available after the campaign. Also the books are at a reduced price here, compared to the retail prices. Follow this link and you can still get the kickstarter prices.

Backerkit Test Underway

Greetings everyone,
We're going through our final test for Backerkit, know as a "Smoketest". This sends out surveys to 5% of each level. As of now, about 68% of you have responded. Be sure to check your email, including possibly spam, for an email on the Rules of Engagement Backerkit survey to answer your questions and maybe snap up a couple extra add ons you missed, like another book, dice, cards, or a challenge coin.

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a quick update.
After we received funding from Kickstarter, we began working right away. I placed the order for challenge coins yesterday. It let us get something off the table right away, so we went ahead and did it. We'll also be ordering dice and patches soon as well.
Don't worry, we're ordering extra, because Backerkit is coming. It's just taking time to work through the economics. Backerkit takes a big bite of your INITIAL funding from Kickstarter (like nearly a thousand dollars), and then continues to charge a good percentage of every sale. So it's a bit of a gamble for us. A couple large backers didn't come through with funding, but we still have to pay Backerkit that percentage, because their cut isn't based on actual payout, but promised support.
Yes, we're going to do it, but it's a gamble, and we're also hoping it doesn't cost us critical funds. So when it goes up, you can help buy buying some extra things. Thanks.
